Process Journal 19/5/2009

Today, I knew when we need to finish our essays, which is tomorrow. My essay is nearly finshed, I need to add a little information in a couple of paragraphs, and I need to place my bibliography at the end of my essay. Today I finished writing my introduction and Im starting my conclusion. I also started my cover page today, I put a picture but I need to write the title, so I hope that I will finish everything by tomorrow.

Today is another day, and I managed to finish my fifth paragraph and start my sixth paragraph. I didnt get much work done today, because Im trying to be less than 1600, so I thought of putting just the most important information, and also keep space for the analysis. Today, I also knew the due date for the essays and its 2 lesson after Week Without Walls. After Week Without Walls, I think that I will finish my essay on the first lesson (hopefully).

I thought that tomorrow will be our last day to finish typing our essays, but I found out that we might have 1 or 2 more lessons after Week Without Walls. Today, I finished my fourth paragraph, and managed to reach half of my fifth paragraph. I dont think that I will finish my essay by tomorrow, so I will need an extra lesson or two. Tomorrow, I will try my best to get as much work as possible done.

Today, we continued on typing our essays. I finished my third paragraph, and I also started my fourth paragraph, but I only did half the paragraph because I didnt have enough time, and the bell rang. I wish that Mr. Bonnalie would increase the word limit, because Im only on the fourth paragraph and I have 1,159 words. On wednesday, I will try to add Analysis, because I dont have it yet. Hopefully, next time I will finish my fourth paragraph and start my fifth paragraph.

Today I was focused and concentrated on my work. I managed to finish half a paragraph, so 1 question. Hopefully, next lesson I would finish this paragraph, and manage to finish another paragraph, because the deadline for the essays is on wednesday.

Today, I finished typing up my second paragraph about architecture. The questions for the sencond paragraph were: How did they make statues? and, How were pyramids built? This paragrpah is good becuase its no more than half a page. Next lesson, I will finish writing one ortwo more paragraphs, and I will try top shorten the first paragraph because it is more than half a page.

Today was our first day for working on our essays. Some people werent allowed to start the essay because they didnt have a good plan. For me, I started writing my essay on the computer. I decided to leave the introduction and conclusion for last. Right now, I finished one paragraph about architecture, but it is too long, so I have to cut out some of the extra parts. Hopefully, that is what i'll do in tomorrows lesson, and i will probably finish another paragraph.

Today was our last day for planning how to write our essay. I was very focused, so I managed to finish my plan and show it to Mr. Bonnalie. I wrote it in bullet points. In total I will have 11 paragraphs, 1 for introduction, 3 for architecture, 3 for religion, 3 for education, and finally 1 for conclusion. In my plan, I wrote what questions are going to be in which paragraphs. I am also very excited that we are going to start writing up the essay tomorrow.

Last wednesday was our last day to research, sadly I wasnt in class, so I asked mr. bonnalie if I could take my folder home so that I could continue researching. Today, we started planning our essay. We will start writing the essay on tuesday, so we only have 2 lessons, today and tomorrow. I started planning my essay today, I finished about half of the work today. Hopefully, tomorrow i'll finish my planning so that I will be prepared for writing the essay.

Today I continued on researching, and I found an amazing website about ancient Egyptian houses. I added alot of information for my architecture questions. For one question I didnt manage to finish writing the whole answer because the bell rang. I will finish writing up the rest of the answer in tommorows lesson.

I've researched alot today, and I managed to actually add an important question, I need this question alot because I only have five religion question, and with this question i'll have six questions. The question is: Why do some gods and goddesses have animal heads? Tommorow I'll be continuing to research.

Even though Ive added more information to some of my questions, I am still researching for more information to add because I know that this is my last week, and next week we are starting to write up the essay. I am also adding more information because when we are writing up the essay, we wont be able to research after that, so the information we have is the information we have to use.

Today I managed to finish adding all the information for this education question: Did they have any knowledge in astrology? I used the website that I found in yesterdays lesson. This website has alot of information about Ancient Egypt, it has information about Egyptian food, Egyptian education, Egyptian astrology, Egyptian calendar, and many more useful information. Next lesson, I want to add more information to the architecture questions.

Today I managed to add more information to this education question: Did the ancient Egyptians have any knowledge in astrology? I found many different websites about ancient Egyptian astrology, which contains the Ancient Egyptian Calender. I didnt manage to finish writing the answer down, becuase I didnt have enough time and the bell rang. Next lesson, I will definitely finish writing the question down.

Today, I saw many other good websites about medicine, education, and how boys usually went to school, and girls didnt. Right now, I am trying to add more information for my education questions, because I think that I need more information. Most of todays lesson, I have been researching about girls education in ancient egypt. I didnt find alot of information since I didnt have alot of time left. Next lesson, I want to research more about girls education in ancient egypt.

Today was our second day working on the computers. I saw the websites in the teacher-student-file and they were good but I didn't manage to find any useful information because I didn't read it all. I managed to answer a good question about ancient Egyptian medicine from another good website. Today is the last lesson before the holiday. After the holiday I want to work really hard.

Today is the first day for our class to work in the multi media lab. I think that working on computers is way more easier and better for us, but also working with books was good. At the first couple of minutes, I couldn't find anything. But then I found a very good website that had a lot of information about education. Next lesson which is tomorrow, i want to see the sites that mr. bonnalie showed us, I didn't see them today because i had to finish answering my question.

Today I managed to complete two more education questions from a good book. So that means that I answered three education questions in total. I asked Mr. Bonnalie if I could research it on the internet and he said that its okay, because I couldnt find anything else about education from all the books in the library about ancient egypt. I also managed to complete all the ciatations from ciatationmachine.net. I copied and pasted them on microsoft and printed them off. Finally I put the paper in the bibliography section in my folder.

I had a really hard time today because I couldnt find any information about educatoin. Before the lesson ended by 25 minutes, i found one book that had one thing about education. So, in todays lesson I only answered 1 question for education. Next lesson i want to do the ciatations and finish answering the education questions.

I had another good day today because now i finshed architecture and religion, and now I only have three or four more education questions. I answered a religion question about mummification, and that was my last question about religion. I also heard that monday is our last day of research on books, thats why i'll try to be more focused next lesson so I can finish my education questions.

Today, I answered one or two religious questions from a very useful book called " Ancient Eygptians: At a Glance" By Rupert Mathews. This book is very useful because it has information about religion, architecture, education, variety of jobs and many others. I have 1 more question left till I finish answering all my religion questions, which I hope ill finish tommorow.

Today, I managed to finish one religion question and it was : How did they prepare for afterlife? I only managed to finish one question because I had a hard time at the beginning of the lesson finding the answer, but when I found the answer it only took me a couple of minutes to write it down on the index card. I hope I answer 2 or 3 more questions tommorow.

I had a good day today because, I finished architecture. I found all my information from a good book called "Ancient Egyptian Art" I already answered 3 questions from religion, so next lesson which is on sunday I will try to finish religion too.

Today I worked very hard and I was very focused, so I managed to get 2 Architecture questions answered from a very good book called "Ancient Egyptian Art" By Susie Hodge. I was very focused today because I realised that some students in my class have managed to answer up to 3 questions a lesson. So, next lesson, I hope to answer 3 questions.

Today was the best day so far, because I found lots and lots of information, and I couldnt decide what I should answer first. In today's lesson I answered 2 long and important questions. I took the information from a very good book called "Mysteries of the Pyramids". So far I've answered 6 or 7 questions. I hope to answer 2 or 3 more questions next lesson.

Today, I've decided to make to search and answer for a religious question. The question I answered today was about afterlife. I used a book called "Mysteries of the Pyramids" and its an excellent book, because I found alot of good information. Today, I answered only 1 question but it was a very important question. I used my time wisely and managed to answer an important question which took up to 2 index cards back to back. I hope to complete another question in the next lesson.

Today is my fourth lesson for answering my questions. I was looking for answers about architecture, it took me along time until I found an excellent book called "Ancient Egyptian Art" It has alot of information that are very useful for me. It is also easy to read and very clear. Today, I managed to finish another question. By the end of the lesson, I found a very good book about pyramids which I think will be useful for this question: " How were pyramids built?"

Today is my third day to work on my questions. I have completed my 2nd question because it is very interesting and it has a very long answer. So, now I completed 1 religion question and 1 architecture question. Tomorrow I will try to finish another question about religion. I will finish the religion questions first because Ilhem is using a very good book about architecture so ill have to wait for her to finish.

Today is my second day to answer my questions. I answered 2 questions today and they are some good information, 1 architecture question, and 1 religion question. I didnt get confused today because I knew what I was doing, and I was working hard and I was focused so I could get the job done. Hopefully, tomorow I will have finished 2 or 3 more questions.

Today I started answering the questions I wrote. At first, it was hard because I wasnt so sure how long the answer should be. I also got confused because I couldnt find many answers, even though I looked in nearly every book about ancient egypt. But half way through the lesson, I focused and I was able to answer 1 question about architecture. Hopefully, next lesson ill get alot more questions answered.
